I earned my bachelor's degree in Integrative Biology at the University of California, Berkeley with focuses in Evolutionary Biology and Ecology. While at college I worked two different teaching jobs. I served, alongside some graduate students, as a teacher's assistant in a freshman biology course. In the other position, I oversaw students as part of a program preparing specimens of animals for museum preservation. The strategy that I have found works best when teaching is using many different approaches. I understand that not every student will comprehend concepts in the same way, so after evaluating how each person works best I like to develop a personalized approach for them. Through this approach I hope to put complicated material in terms that are easier to understand and relate to. I am most comfortable tutoring the subjects of Math, Ecology, and Evolution. I am also capable of assisting students as they prepare for standardized tests like the SAT and GRE, as well as teaching Physics and Writing. When I'm not in the classroom, I like to spend a lot of my time doing martial arts, hiking, and playing both video and card games.
